Aiden of course could barely stay still and luckily the nurses are so patient with the kids...of course, it's a pediatric clinic. They went ahead and tested his hearing and vision, even though they don't have to do it until next year. It's just to get him used to it. He did great on the vision test. They had a chart just like they use at the eye doctor's, only it had shapes on it. Good thing he knows what circles, stars, hands, boats and squares (well, it was really a flag) are.
The hearing part was a bit harder. It's bad enough trying to look in Aiden's ear, but having something stuck in there and then trying to get him to say "I hear it", every time it beeps. Good luck! He ended up telling her the first time he heard it, but wouldn't repeat it after that. :-P
He also received a flu vaccine. We had the option of injection or nasal spray. We went with the spray and he did great with it. She just told him to sniff and smell and it worked out pretty well. She even gave him a little toy jet. Now he's asking me to go to the store and get a big one. Nice.
When the doctor came in to check him out he just had to play with all her instruments. She showed him what they did and put them back together when he pulled them apart. That boy...He got a sucker after that, but licked it a few times and then threw it away. That's a first. I think he was too busy playing with the car and truck to worry about the sucker.
When Sophie was up on the table, he kept wanting to get up there with her. Luckily he was occupied with the car when she was getting her immunizations. Poor girl. She bawled as she was getting them, but we nursed right after, so she was fine.
Aiden's 3 year stats:
Height: 38.75" - 78%
Weight: 34 lbs - 72 %
BP: 90/52
Sophie's 4 month stats:
Height: 25.5" - 89%
Weight: 15 lbs - 78%

Aiden really wanted Sophie to slide down with her, but she wasn't too crazy about it
