Not much going on at the Johnson homefront, except for a plethora of birthday parties. Ok, 3 isn't a plethora, but it's a lot. Especially when there are 2 in 1 weekend. However...we were able to get to Jake's Birthday - he turns 2 this Friday, but we weren't able to make it to Tyler's (son of co-worker).
Jake's party was at this really cool park from 11:30am-2:00pm on Saturday. We were going to try and put Aiden down for a nap early and get there late. But it didn't look like he was gonna go down any time soon. So we got there around noon (after he'd fallen asleep in the car, 30 secs after I pulled out of the driveway) and stayed the entire time.
He had a ball just walking/climbing up and down things. He didn't want to stay in the party area at all. And food? Forget about it, he wasn't interested. :-) Click on the Jake's Birthday link and you'll see a small portion of what the park looked like. It was hidden from the road, so I ended up passing it on my way there.
Luckily about 30 min after we got home, he was so wiped out, he went down for a nap with me and slept for almost 2 1/2 hours.
We were supposed to go to Pump It Up on Sunday at 1pm. Which would have worked out fine if someone had taken his nap when he was supposed to. He didn't fall asleep until 12:45, so he slept through the whole party. I was actually looking forward to it because the "big kids" can have fun with the "little kids". :-P
Oh well, probably for the best...he wasn't in a particular fun mood. Let's not even talk about dinner Friday night. I think his bottom molars are trying to make their way into the world which equals a very drooly and fist-in-mouth Aiden.
