Back That Thing Up

Best title I could come up with for this picture. :-)

booty up

She sleeps so much better when you put her on her tummy. Which means mommy gets more sleepy time too. :-) She's been sleeping much better at night these days. *KNOCKING ON WOOD* The other day she didn't really nap ALL DAY, and ended up sleeping about 5 hours straight. I ended up waking her up to eat, just in case. :-P I was being paranoid, I know. You'd think I would have just left her alone, but I was up anyway, right?

Have I told you about our other "baby"? You know how toddlers supposedly regress somehow when a newborn comes into their family, right? Well, he's regressing in a way I would never have thought. He keeps finding Sophie's pacifiers (which he never used as a baby, and that she barely uses either) and sucks on it. Weird, huh? And I was worried about the whole potty training thing. Right.

bro & sis

Last week was Aiden's first week at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ack! So, Tuesday, we went to the library in the morning for story time. That turned out semi-ok. The librarian read a few books, we sang some songs and we colored some pictures to make a mobile. He didn't really want to sit up front on the floor with the other kids because he said there wasn't any room. Not exactly true, but that's ok. He sat next to me, sort of and ate some goldfish and listened to the stories, sort of. Aiden doesn't really stay still, nor does he do something for more than about 5-10 minutes at a time.

So, along comes Thursday. The library has a movie at 1:30pm. I figured, once a week, no nap, it might be ok. Uh, no. Remember the doesn't stay still thing? He wouldn't sit down, in the chair or on the floor. Sophie wouldn't really stop fussing and once he was done with the snack I brought, it was over. I even tried to get him to sit down and read a book with me. Not happening. He wanted to run up and down the aisles of books. Nice. I have THAT child. :-P

So, I'm thinking I'll try story time again next week, but we're going to have to figure something else out for Thursdays. Maybe try the park in the mornings? Especially before it gets too hot for the day.

Let's see, what else? Oh, here's this weekend's breakfast. Yum!
blueberry pancakes

And something else I tried, but wasn't great. It had a kind of grainy texture to me.

Can you tell blueberries have been on sale? :-)
