Home Alone

DSC_0885

These past couple days, it's just been Miss Sophie and me. Ashley was home for a couple weeks, but now it's just us. Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment in the morning. I tried to time it where her belly would be full, but as with most newborns, you just have to work around their schedule. :-P So, I ended up nursing her at the doctor's office while I was getting my ear checked out. Luckily I have an awesome doctor who totally understands. She even hoped I'd bring Sophie with me so she could meet her. :-) After that I ventured a trip to Wal-Mart. She slept in the sling/pouch the whole time. Well, it was like an hour. But it worked for me.

cheeks are getting bigger every day!

Today, however, I have been at home doing some laundry, making the beds - which, let me digress for a minute here, Aiden will not stay in his bed at night and go to sleep. He ended up getting in the bed in the guest room and falling asleep there. I guess it's a good thing we bought him a big boy bed, that we are still waiting for with matching dresser w/o the mirror. Ok, so back to me for a minute. :-P Making the beds, picking up a little bit around the house and planning dinner. Since I had the time I decided to make some bread, sort of. More like rolls. These rolls. I'll try to let you know how they turn out - I made a few modifications. I halved the recipe, I didn't need that many rolls. ;-) Of the 4 1/2 cups of flour, 1 cup was whole wheat, 1 cups was all purpose and 2 1/2 cups was bread flour. Everything else was exactly half. (UPDATE: They were delish. A little sweet, a little salty, a little buttery, light and yummy!)

Haircut

We finally cut Aiden's hair again. I just totally dread doing it because the boy can't stand it. We decided that it was time for all of it to go since summer's on it's way and he gets H-O-T!

i'm not hitting her, i'm patting her
his favorite phrase while touching her "i'm not hitting her, i'm patting her"

Aiden's been really good with Sophie so far. We still have to watch him of course. He likes to get a little rough with the vibrating/bouncy seat.

A little mud
i bought him some rain boots for just in case and he decides to play in mud, that he's made - thanks ashley

Starting in June Aiden will go to school 3 days a week instead of 5 days a week. Just for the summer. Hopefully we'll be able to go to the pool and play in the park. Wish me luck! :-P

A little mud
more mud

And lastly a parting shot of Miss Sophie.
