I took Sophie to the doctor on Saturday (they have a seasonal Saturday morning clinic) since she had a fever for about 3 days, was draining out her nose and eyes, and her cough was getting worse. Turns out she has RSV, a respiratory virus. She's doing breathing treatments and taking some cough medicine. She hasn't quite taken to the treatments yet, but who can blame her? Having to sit still with a mask on your face while breathing in vapors.

We already knew Sophie and Aiden were like night and day, but even the way they get sick is different. Aiden was getting ear infection after ear infection. Sophie hasn't had one (KNOCK ON WOOD) but yet she gets this virus. Crazy stuff.

On Thursday, Aiden thought he felt better and wanted to ride his bicycle outside. It was nice outside, so we started out, but then he changed his mind and wanted to go for a walk instead. :-)
After we got back he was wiped out. He wouldn't take a nap, but I could tell he didn't really feel like himself.
Since the kiddos have been under the weather, the whole family has been a bit sleep deprived. Aiden woke himself up coughing and Sophie wakes up around 2am and won't go back to sleep easily.
Aiden went back to school today, so I'm just here with Miss Sophie until the doctor says she well enough to go back. We have an appointment on Wednesday morning, so hopefully these treatments are doing the job.
And of course, the parents aren't in the clear. Ashley and I both have a little something going on, but not enough to really slow us down. Although I almost wish it would, then just go away. I can't stand this lingering stuff!
On to better things...
Sophie is getting better at holding her sippy cup. She grabs it and drinks out of it all by herself.
She is getting into everything, of course.

who us? we're doing nuthin
Aiden loves to "play the guitar" with daddy.

sophie had to get in on the action
Oh, when he was sick, he kept saying, "I have a headache", all while holding his head, then saying, "that's why I have the coughs". Too cute!
I had a couple friends request some cupcakes for birthdays and baby showers, which I of course agreed to do.
