Aiden had his Easter egg hunt at school today, so I went up there and took a couple of pictures. He wasn't happy about me leaving afterwards, but I think he'll be ok.

not paying attention, but he's smiling because he was hip bumping landry

see...that's my boy

running over to show me his eggs

ms alice & grace checking out his eggs

he was very excited about finding this one, hopefully it comes home with him

those eggs were everywhere!

waiting for the hunt to start
And of course, you can't have a school party without cookies!

We're going to another Easter egg hunt on Saturday at church. That one should be interesting.
Aiden's new thing these days is stinky this and stinky that. Doesn't matter what it is, it's stanky. No, that wasn't a typo...that's how he says it. Stanky. Nice.
Sophie says byebyebyebye really well now. When I drop her off, she usually does the fist clench and says byebye to me. When I pick her up, she does the fist clench and says byebye to the teachers. It's sooo cute (of course).
She does this crawl sometimes, where it's on her feet and hands and not her knees. She wants to stand up on her own, but she's not quite there yet. She is walking along just about everything now, though.
She loves loves loves being outside. As soon as she gets out of the car, she points her wrist toward the back yard. Not her finger...she does this thing where her fingers are all pointed down and her wrist is forward...kind of like when you see women putting their hands out for the men to kiss it. I'll try to take a picture of it soon. She likes to swing and ride in the wagon, or her stroller and watch Sienna. You ask her where the doggy/Sienna is and she does the wrist point toward the back door. :-)
And she's already obsessed with my iPhone. Of course it's probably half my fault since it's pretty much an extension of my arm/hand. ;-P I turn on one of the games and she loves it. She's not into tv at all. She could care less if the thing were on. Which is good since Aiden is always wanting to watch something.
We've been trying to limit his tv watching, so he gets to watch it in the morning while eating breakfast/getting dressed/brushing teeth. Because honestly, it makes my life easier. Then, he can watch it after dinner/bath. This seems to be working out well because now he wants to play games on the computer. He gets on nickjr.com and can click his way around the games and he's really good at controlling the mouse. He even knows how to turn the computer on and put the wireless mouse's usb thingy into the port. He's 3 people! Crazy isn't it?
We've decided to have Sophie's 1st birthday part at Kidsview. So much easier than trying to have something at our house. It'd be too small/cramped and nothing for the kids to really do. So, it'll be Saturday, May 1st @ 2pm. Save the date!
Some friends of ours had a crawfish boil last weekend. It was fun seeing how Aiden reacted to the live crawfish. He didn't seem to have a problem with them, but didn't want to touch them either.
Yes, I made something to take. Duh ;-) Some chocolate cupcakes w/hidden kisses covered in chocolate ganache and some banana pudding. The banana pudding didn't stand a chance. It was GONE. No pic, sorry.

here's sophie checkin 'em out

hangin out with daddy - the girl loves her daddy. she races over to him as soon as he gets home
Some more pictures to tide you over. They are getting so big so fast! These were just taken last month and Sophie already looks like a different girl. And Aiden! Whoa there boy...stop growing up already. He looks so tall, skinny and grown in his school picture.

apparently my mother calls her hair "the fountain"

i prefer the term "whale spout" ;-)

somehow it went from this
to this:
